KOLKATA: The West Bengal forest department has made elaborate measures, including setting up live baits and roping in tranquilizing teams, to capture tigress Zeenat, which recently crossed over to the state from neighboring Jharkhand after being translocated from Maharashtra to Odisha, officials said on Wednesday.
The tigress killed a goat and injured another at Bandwan in Purulia district after entering the eastern state on December 20.
