In a major swoop on criminals on the run in various cases, Bihar's East Champaran police attached properties of 83 criminals who had been evading arrest for years despite court notices on Tuesday, police said.

In a statement issued on Tuesday late evening, police said officers and magistrates reached the houses of as many as 210 criminals with JCB machines, who were on the run in cases pending against them.
