ISKCON staffer accused of misappropriating funds, case filed

A man working in the membership department of the renowned International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple at Vrindavan has been accused of misappropriating funds amounting to crores, officials said on Sunday.

A case has been registered at Vrindavan police station under section 316 (5) (Criminal breach of trust), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) and 351(3) (grave threat) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita against Murlidhar Dass, a resident of Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

He was entrusted with responsibilities in the temple's membership department.
