9/11 victims' remains still being identified

AS the flags fluttered in the solemn silence of ground zero yesterday a haunting reminder of the human cost of 9/11 echoed through the air.

Names of the 2,977 killed were recalled in an emotional hour-long reading on the 22nd year of the atrocity in New York.

It came as two more victims of the 2001 terror attack, a man and a woman, were identified thanks to DNA advances, hopefully bringing some sort of closure to their families.

One of the names read out yesterday was that of Joseph Giaccone, 43, by his brother James.
