LAST-BRIT STANDING Cam Norrie gained some Ashes "redemption" by beating Aussie Jordan Thompson to reach the last eight at the cinch Championships.
And the British No.1 is now only three wins away from claiming his first grasscourt title.
Norrie watched Andy Murray lose to Aussie Alex de Minaur here on Tuesday before Pat Cummins' cricket side sealed a dramatic win at Edgbaston.
The world No.13 looked in danger of another home defeat against Thompson when he lost the first set before finding his line and length to win 4-6 6-3 6-2.
Norrie, who was raised in New Zealand, said: "It was a perfect match to do that against a player who is playing really well on the grass and was serving well.
