Paedo fears attack by 'psycho'

PAEDOPHILE Gary Glitter refused to apply for a move to an open prison because he fears for his life. 

The shamed glam rocker – who could walk free in weeks – has been eligible for a transfer for 12 months.

But he is on a vulnerable person wing at HMP The Verne on the Isle of Portland, Dorset, and is worried that a “psycho” will attack him if he leaves.

A pal said: “He’s a coward. He’s refused to move because he knows that there’ll be a target on his back.

“He feels safe where he is because it’s a prison for sex offenders. But if he moved he honestly believes some psycho could get to him.”

Glitter, 78, was sentenced to 16 years in February 2015 and is due for release after serving half of his term.
