DEAN WILL GO DARK

DEAN SMITH says he will cut himself off from the goings-on at Goodison Park as he seeks a Premier League lifeline.

Leicester City's interim boss (above) is shunning phones, tablets and all associated technology. He will leave it up to the King Power crowd to communicate what's happening as Survival Sunday reaches its dramatic finale.

Anything other than victory will be insufficient to keep the Foxes in the top flight. If they win and the Toffees draw or lose against Bournemouth, it will be party time in the east Midlands.

Smith says the equation is simple that is why he does not need to keep an eye on Merseyside and none of his backroom staff are being asked to tell him, either.

He said: "I'm not going to detail anyone to tell me what's going on.
