Fittest Family's new host Fox is hot to trot in Mairead's footsteps

IRELAND'S Fittest Family host Laura Fox isn't worried she will be compared to Mairead Ronan.

The 2FM presenter replaced Mairead on the show this year after the mum-of-three announced she was quitting after 10 years.

The series is due back on our screens this winter with Laura at the helm and new coach Sonia O'Sullivan taking over from Anna Geary who is on maternity leave.

Donncha O'Callaghan, Nina Carberry and Davy Fitzgerald are also returning as coaches.

But Laura said she isn't worried viewers will make comparisons between her and Mairead.

She added: "People are always going to do that, but I am not afraid because who wouldn't like that comparison?" Opening up about filming, the 32-year-old said the show is her "dream telly job", admitting this year "has been everything I have ever wanted and more".

She added: "It's been so much fun. It's one of those things, and especially with my close friends and my family, it's like you've done it.
