GAVIN Bazunu has pledged his future to the Saints as he wants to amend the sins of relegation.
The Ireland keeper, 21, returns to Southampton tomorrow to begin pre-season, with the intention of turning relegation hell into promotion heaven.
He said: “As far as I am aware, I am going back to fight ( for) Southampton and get them back to where they belong; that’s all that’s in my head now.
“I can’t speak on behalf of other players but right now my only thought process is to get ready for next season. My idea of things (is to be in the Southampton squad that makes amends for relegation).
“Being in a team that goes down is a big burden on myself and my teammates. We’ve to take responsibility for that.
“But the season on a personal level proved that I’m capable of playing at that level. To hold that position for 32 Premier League games and have some of my strongest performances against top opposition proved a point to not just myself but others.”
