A RELATIVE of Martin "The General" Cahill was arrested alongside his associate as gardai believe they foiled a hit after recovering a loaded gun.
The two suspects were lifted on Sunday night in West Dublin after attempting to flee officers from Blanchardstown's District Drug Unit.
Gardai attempted to stop the car in the Wellview road area of D15 at 11.50pm after spotting it allegedly travelling at high speed.
As the vehicle took chase from cops, a dark-coloured bag was thrown out the window. A loaded firearm was later recovered at the scene.
