OWEN FARRELL has been banned from England’s first two games of the World Cup as Steve Borthwick’s tournament threatens to implode before it starts.
The England captain is out of crucial Pool D games against Argentina on September 9 and Japan eight days later.
World Rugby appealed the downgrade of Farrell’s red card against Wales earlier this month and coach Borthwick will now start the tournament without his talisman.
