Man arrested after alleged attack with cutting power tool

A LANDLORD was being quizzed by gardai yesterday after allegedly cutting through his tenant's door with a circular saw.

A man was arrested after the alleged incident was recorded and circulated online.

It's understood to have been on Monday and to do with a dispute over unpaid rent for the property in Ballinasloe, Co Galway.

But tenant Dr Muhammed Raheel Jethel, a surgical registrar who lived in the house with his family, said he had paid but the money kept bouncing back.

He said he kept the money aside and had been trying to get in touch with the landlord since the problem arose in August.
