TEMPERATURES are set to soar by an impressive 15 degrees this week as the snow and ice of recent days melts away.
The sub-zero temperatures of last week's cold snap will jump to highs of 12°C throughout this week.
However, St Patrick's Day revellers are being warned not to pack away the woollies or rain gear just yet, with cold showers expected to hit on the big day on Friday.
Today will be mostly cloudy with widespread showers, merging to longer spells of rain at times and bringing the chance of an isolated thunderstorm during the afternoon.
