A huge payout on hotels and cars revealed

THE US Secret Service spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on accommodation, car rental during President Joe Biden's visit to Ireland.

A log of expenditure details how their "hub" hotel - the Clayton Burlington in leafy Dublin 4 - was paid more than €205,000.

More than a dozen hotels were booked with the men in black accidentally double booking rooms at one luxury hotel at a cost of more than €3,000 after a mix-up.

The Herbert Hotel, also in Dublin 4, received an estimated €143,000, and the Conrad in the capital got almost €70,000.

Hotels in Mayo, Sligo, and Galway also picked up valuable business during the US President's trip to the west of Ireland.
