The OSC have joined City Matters (made up of a number of fan groups), the 1894 group, and the MCFC Fans Supporting Foodbanks group in opposing the decision to raise season ticket prices, urging City to reverse the increase and freeze prices.
The Blues have imposed an average of five per cent price rises across the board for season tickets, removing some of the lower-priced products and increasing some rises of up to 10pc. That has led to fans vocally opposing the club, hitting out at year-on-year rises that have added up to significant costs in recent years. City recorded record £80m profits last season, with more than £700m in turnover, but are still asking fans to fork out more to keep their seats.
The rise is said to be in line with inflation, and no other Premier League club has frozen prices.
City remain one of the cheapest season tickets in the Premier League, but fans are still unhappy at having to pay more at a time when costs in all walks of life are rising quickly.
The City Matters statement, supported by the OSC, says the group expressed their opposition to the price rises when discussing them with the club last week.
