FREDDIE OPENS UP ON 'ANXIETY, NIGHTMARES AND FLASHBACKS' AFTER HORROR TOP GEAR CRASH

ANDREW ‘Freddie’ Flintoff has spoken for the first time about his Top Gear crash, sharing the ‘anxiety, nightmares and flashbacks’ it caused.

The former Lancashire and England star cricketer suffered serious injuries when he crashed at the Dunsfold Park Aerodrome while filming the BBC show in December 2022.

He opted not to show how serious his facial injuries were following the incident and stepped back from public life while he recovered. The BBC apologised to Freddie over the injuries in March 2023 and he reached a settlement with the BBC last year, reportedly worth £9m. Now, the 46-year-old revealed he was ‘crying every two minutes’, and only left his home for medical appointments in the seven months following the crash, which caused facial and rib injuries.
