Hamidur Rahman, 24, is accused of causing the death of 16-year-old Alisha Goup by dangerous driving.
He is on trial alongside 22-year-old Omar Choudhury. The pair both deny the charge.
Choudhury, 22, hit student Alisha Goup on Rochdale Road in Oldham, as she made her way to Oldham College, at about 1.30pm on February 23. He had reached speeds of 66mph in a 30mph zone and hit Ms Goup after overtaking on the wrong side of the road, clipping another vehicle and then losing control and mounting the pavement.
