A MUM and dad have revealed the reason they named their son after King Charles.
Matt and Amy Windsor said they were left racking their brains to come up with a name for their baby boy, the night before the 42-day government deadline.
The couple, from Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, explained how the frantic search made them decide they 'couldn't resist the opportunity' to name him Charles.
And the decision has led to a few raised eyebrows due to its regal connotation, they said.
"People are always shocked at our son's name," Amy told the M.E.N.
