The singer had been due to perform in front of a sell-out crowd at Co-op Live on Saturday.
But just hours before the show was due to begin, the 41-year-old was arrested by police in Amsterdam after allegedly trying to take 'soft drugs' from Schiphol Airport to another country.
She was later released, fined and allowed to fly to Manchester.
Loyal fans known as 'Barbz' were already inside Co-op Live but at 9.35pm they were told the gig was cancelled.
In an attempt to soften the disappointment, Minaj posted on X at 1.17am to reveal where she was staying in Manchester, at the Stock Exchange Hotel.
