Police officer denies sex assault while wife pregnant

A POLICE officer sexually assaulted three women including one when his wife was pregnant, a jury heard.

GMP officer Sgt Richard Mills was said to have told the woman he "wasn't getting any sex" at home, the court was told.

The officer, 41, from Rochdale, denies five counts of sexual assault against three women between 2014 and 2022.

Sgt Mills is alleged to have molested one woman on three occasions, prosecutor Robert Dudley told Liverpool Crown Court yesterday.

The woman "shrugged the defendant off" the first time and made no formal allegation against the officer, the court was told.

During the second alleged sex assault, the woman said Sgt Mills was a front seat passenger in a car she was driving when he told her he "wasn't getting any sex because his wife was pregnant", Mr Dudley told the jurors.
