Pilsouth South Landfill has been the subject of scores of complaints from people across Bury and Rochdale in recent months.
Some living nearby said they'd been left feeling sick by the nasty stench emanating from the site, comparing it to the odour of 'rotten meat The Environment Agency (EA) has been monitoring the situation.
Valencia Waste, which runs the site next to the M66, has been urged to take action. Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham joined Rochdale and Bury's council leaders calling for Valencia to have its environmental permit for waste activities removed.
