The Bayern Munich loanee was brought in on January transfer deadline day amid Christian Eriksen’s long-term injury and has gone on to score three goals and an assist in 14 outings, also helping the Reds lift the Carabao Cup in February.
Two of those goals came in the Europa League first leg quarter-final against Sevilla, a tie United lost 5-2 on aggregate following Thursday night’s 3-0 defeat in Spain.
Sabitzer started the game in the absence of the suspended Bruno Fernandes but could be benched upon the Portugal international’s return for tomorrow’s FA Cup semi-final with Brighton.
