Teenager's 'vertigo' was brain tumour

A TEENAGER was diagnosed with a brain tumour after doctors initially thought his dizzy spells were caused by vertigo.

Medics told Jayce Robinson and his family, from Eccles, Salford, that he had a rare brain tumour - vestibular schwannoma - a benign growth that develops between the brain and skull close to the ear.

Jayce, 15, was rushed to hospital after collapsing during a PE lesson.

His mother Kirsty Newton, 38, told the M.E.N. it wasn't the first time Jayce collapsed and that for 18 months he had been suffering with bouts of illnesses that left him feeling sick and dizzy.
