ROLLING up to their new shop on New Cathedral Street in a brand new Rolls Royce Spectre, the brothers had a 'pinch me' moment.

George and Michael Heaton, from Horwich, Bolton, had set up their business 13 years ago, printing T-shirts from their dad's shed.

They initially invested £150 each of their own cash into the luxury streetwear brand.

Today, their company Represent is on track for a record £100m turnover by the end of the year, with a £250m turnover expected by 2028. And their own brick-and-mortar store in their home city is set to only further help them reach that goal.

"It definitely marks an important and iconic milestone for us as a brand," George, 27, told the M.E.N. "It used to be a Burberry store, so to take on the location of such a historic, heritage British brand is a big moment for us." Starting out online, Represent rose to prominence when it started appearing in shops like Selfridges, END, and Harvey Nichols. Its handcrafted garments, spanning T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, jackets, shoes and even perfume, embody the spirit of Manchester's streetwear scene in simple yet luxury designs.

"Growing up, we were always huge fans of the likes of Oasis and bands who were putting Manchester on a global platform," George said. "So to now be able to represent our hometown around the world is massive for us."

In fact, earlier this year, Represent opened a bespoke boutique store in Los Angeles. Another store set for London's Soho will open next year with a new tailored concept. Another recent expansion for the brand is the launch of their performance wear division 247 by Represent.
