SACHA Lord has offered Hatch staff a new job within weeks following the news that the city centre food and drink hub will close at the end of the month.
Mr Lord, Manchester's night time economy advisor, described yesterday's announcement giving stall owners only a month's notice to quit as "very poor"
Owners Bruntwood said that the street food destination within the Oxford Road Corridor will close on September 30. The site is already earmarked, pending application licences, for a similar food and drink space by the Danieli Group and leisure chain STACK.
However, stall owners at Hatch say they were only given a month's notice to find new premises to operate from, while Bruntwood said permanent site staff are also currently undergoing a period of consultation.
