Blast near CRPF school in Delhi prompts multi-agency probe

NEW DELHI: A loud explosion near a CRPF school in the Prashant Vihar area of Rohini on Sunday morning triggered a high-security alert across the national capital. The blast, reported at around 7:50 am, caused damage to a school wall, nearby shops, and a car, but fortunately, no one was injured, officials said.

Preliminary investigations suggest the explosion may have been caused by a crude bomb, though authorities are continuing to investigate the exact nature of the blast. Teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Delhi Police quickly cordoned off the area, and forensic experts were dispatched to collect samples to ascertain the cause of the explosion.
