‘Maha’s next CM to be decided by BJP & Mahayuti leaders’
Millennium Post Delhi|Delhi 25 November 2024
After scripting a stunning victory in the crucial Maharashtra Assembly polls, the BJP-led alliance of Mahayuti was busy in hectic political activity and meetings to chalk out the next course of action of deciding upon the new Chief Minister.

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Sunday said leaders of the ruling Mahayuti alliance and the BJP leadership will decide who will be the next chief minister of the state.

Addressing a press conference here, Bawankule said all sections of the society supported the BJP in the Maharashtra Assembly polls and rejected the Congress. He pointed out that the Congress' state unit chief Nana Patole managed to win with a wafer-thin margin of around 200 votes in Sakoli seat.

The BJP-led Mahayuti, which also comprises the Shiv Sena of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and NCP of deputy CM Ajit Pawar, retained power in the state by making a clean sweep of 230 of the 288 assembly seats.
