BHOPAL: Spelling out a vision for 2030 on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said that the economy of the state would be expanded to Rs 45 Lakh crore and the per capita income (PCI) would be made double.
He also said that over one crore of people would be lifted from the poverty line in the state and agricultural production would be reached 10 Lakh MTs along with increasing the irrigation command area to 65 Lakh hectares and a power capacity of 38,000 MW.
Chouhan was addressing the state-level function after hoisting the Tricolour and inspecting the parade in Bhopal.
The economy size (GSDPgross state domestic product) of the state in the current financial session is Rs 13,22,821 crore (GSDP) and the PCI is Rs 1,40,583 while 1.36 crore people lifted from the poverty line in five years.
