Democrat John Fetterman, and Republican Dr. Oz. from TV talk show fame. It's more about the fact that either candidate winning could tip the U.S. Senate power in favor of Democrats or Republicans, depending on how things go after all the votes are counted.
How much do we actually know about these two men? If you depend on television commercials to educate you, then you may be in for a rude awakening. The political campaign commercials that are running right now are ugly and can also be misleading. That's why I still say, do your homework to learn about the men and women who ask for your votes on election day.
Largely I have found out information about the candidates from number one, visiting their websites, which of course, say all the things a candidate would want to toot to win over voters. Then I also look at their responses to questions asked by various media as they've been interviewed, time and time again, during this campaign. I watched the debate intently the other night, the only debate between Fetterman and Oz, and I also listen to what citizens of Pennsylvania are saying about this particular race.
Fetterman is not your regular, run-of-the-mill Democrat. I find him to be daring and bold and unafraid to go on an untested path if he believes that's what's good for the people of the Commonwealth. Fetterman says he'll address corporate greed once elected, and he wants to look out for low-income people and stop giving all the tax breaks to the very rich. He wants the very rich to finally have to pay their fair share and stop getting so many tax breaks. Fetterman says, he’s about building an economy that works for all Americans, not just some Americans.
