The Girlguiding group, called Rainbows, are redesigning and refreshing their outfits for the first time in more than 30 years.
A survey asked for views on what the girls want their new look to be and 7,422 girls aged four to seven chose pink.
Feedback, including from parents and leaders, found 28 per cent wanted pink with the rainbow stripes and 18 per cent wanted plain pink, making the total of pink preferences 46 per cent.
