RISHI SUNAK yesterday set out a nightmare vision of the disaster that will engulf Britain if Labour wins power.
The Prime Minister warned that Sir Keir Starmer would inflict "irreversible damage" on the nation within his first 100 days.
In a grim prophecy, he depicted schools in chaos and families crippled by taxes as we become the "soft touch" migrant capital of the world. Mr Sunak issued his apocalyptic depiction of life under Labour as polls showed the Tories are heading for a catastrophic defeat in Thursday’s election.
With the latest putting Sir Keir on course for a “super-majority”, the Prime Minister urged fed-up Conservative voters not to “surrender” authority over our taxes, border controls and security.
In an urgent warning to voters he said: “It’s clear that Labour would do irreversible damage within just 100 days of coming to power – whether it’s announcing a suite of tax rises, or throwing thousands of families’ plans for the autumn term into chaos with children wondering if they will have a desk at school to go back to.
“Labour would throw open our borders with their illegal migrant amnesty and free movement for under-30s in their deal with the EU, making us the soft touch migrant capital of the world.”
At a London rally yesterday, Sir Keir vowed to change Britain “on day one” if he enters 10 Downing Street on Friday.
And he pledged a “summer of change” to restore hope in a better future – but his vision of Britain under Labour did not match Mr Sunak’s.
