This acquisition will bolster Ambuja Cement’s position as a major player in the sector, expanding its capacity to 73.6 MTPA (Million Tonnes per annum). The deal comes after Adani Cement entered the cement business last September by acquiring majority stakes in Ambuja Cement and its subsidiary ACC Ltd.
