External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held significant meeting with United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in New Delhi on Monday. The discussions encompassed a broad spectrum of bilateral, regional, and global issues. Jaishankar expressed optimism about the future of the India-US strategic partnership, emphasizing its continued strong advancement.

In a post on X, Jaishankar shared, "Delighted to welcome US NSA @JakeSullivan46 in New Delhi this morning. A comprehensive discussion on a broad range of bilateral, regional, and global issues. Confident that India-US strategic partnership will continue to advance strongly in our new term."

Sullivan's visit marks the first by a senior US official since the Modi government began its third term. His trip is centered around the second meeting of the initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET). Initially scheduled for February, the meeting was postponed to June 17-18 due to other pressing commitments in the US.
