US-India ties to soar beyond the moon

The India-US relationship is currently at an all-time high, with the Modi government in India expressing its determination to elevate it even further.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, addressing a gathering of several hundred Indian-Americans at the ‘Celebrating Colours of Friendship’ event organized by the Embassy of India in the United States, emphasized the need to take this partnership to new heights. Drawing inspiration from India’s remarkable achievements in space exploration, Jaishankar compared bilateral ties to the Chandrayaan missions, suggesting that they would soar to new heights and beyond.

The event was historic, marking the largest-ever gathering of the Indian-American community at the India House, underscoring the significance of the occasion and the shared values between the two nations.

Jaishankar began by highlighting the exceptional strength of the India-US relationship, describing it as being at an “all-time high.” He lauded the United States for its pivotal role in the success of the G20 summit, acknowledging the support and understanding provided by the US in making the event a resounding success.

While hosting the G20 summit, India demonstrated its diplomatic prowess, bringing together diverse nations for cooperation. Jaishankar noted that while the G20’s success may have been India’s in a literal sense, it was equally a testament to the India-US partnership. He urged the Indian-American community to continue supporting this partnership, promising that it would reach unprecedented heights.
