Proteas Test skipper Temba Bavuma has backed rookie fast bowler Kwena Maphaka to deliver the goods when South Africa and Pakistan clash in the second Test between the nations at Newlands in Cape Town from today.
The Proteas go into the match 1-0 up, having won the first Test in Centurion on Sunday, which also saw them qualify for the World Test Championship at Lord's in London in June.
Rising star Maphaka will become South Africa's youngest-ever Test debutant this morning.
He has already re-written the history books by becoming the Proteas' youngest-ever player, at 18 years and 137 days old, after he made his T20 debut against the West Indies in August last year.
