Pirates on a mission to avenge Jwaneng defeat

This is because Pirates have a rich history in Caf Inter-club competitions, having reached the final of the Champions League in 2013 and the decider in the Caf Confederations Cup in 2015 and 2020.

Club captain Innocent Maela (below), however, has asked that the new players not be judged on past achievements.
