Starting off on a personal note, I would like to say that the recovery has been tough so far.
I'm still in quite a bit of pain but I'm hoping that will start to improve soon.
Spending time with the family has been an absolute blessing, and without them this period would be far worse.
I'm due to see the doctor in the next couple of weeks, and I'll update everyone on the feedback.
Next week Wednesday evening will see the final field for the R6million Betway Summer Cup being announced as well as the barrier draws taking place.
I'm sure everyone is getting more and more excited for the day, but it's so essential to draw a decent barrier position, so it will be a nerve-racking evening and I would like to wish everyone all the very best.
Last week at Turffontein we saw the running ofthe Grade 3 Betway Victory Moon Stakes and it was an outstanding race to watch with many clues available for the upcoming Betway Summer Cup.
Greeting My Master produced a display of pure guts to fight back and beat Main Defender in a thrilling finish.
The winner, not yet entered for the Betway Summer Cup, started a warm favourite, running off his light weight of 51kg.
He was receiving 11kg from the runner-up who went past him with about 250m to go but could not sustain the effort.
Questions will be asked if Main Defender saw out the trip or did the weight get to him?
That's a question that will determine whether he takes his place inthe Betway Summer Cup and if he does, whether he is your preferred selection.
You can assume Greeting My Master will be supplemented for the big one, but he might find it far more difficult with some significant weight swings.
Atticus Finch and Purple Pitcher were the two horses I believe you should be taking out the race, as they will peak perfectly for the big one on 30 November.
