The victims have been identified as Vineet alias Vicky and Tirth, both residents of Delhi, and Vandana alias Nia, a resident of Jind in Haryana.
An FIR has been registered under sections 103(1), 61(2) of the BNS, and 25 of Arms Act, 1959, at the Pinjore Police station. Police have started the investigations and the bodies of the victims have been handed over to kins after the autopsy.
Police is exploring all theories, including an old enmity of Vineet to ascertain the motive behind the murder. It is believed that Vineet was apparently the target and rest two fell prey to bullets while saving Vineet.
