Pakistan should stops terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir if it wants talks with India, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Sunday. He also extended an invitation to the residents of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) to join India, emphasising that India considers them as its own, unlike Pakistan, which treats them as "foreigners".
His comments on talks with Pakistan come days after the National Conference and the PDP in their election manifestos called for dialogue with Islamabad.
Without naming the parties, the minister said, "Some people want us to talk with Pakistan. I want to tell them... Pakistan should stop taking support of terrorism." "Who would not like to improve relations with neighbouring countries?
