Misconceptions were being spread due to the vacancies created at the top level in the Election Commission after the retirement of Anup Chandra Pandey and the resignation of Arun Goyal. Sources, however, told the ‘The Daily Guardian’ that on March 14 the government panel on appointing two ECs will meet. After this meeting the names of both the new commissioners will be announced. The President will issue the appointment letters of the commissioners as per the recommendations of the panel.
