Sukma's Chintagufa Health Centre gets national recognition
The Free Press Journal - Indore|December 20, 2024
The Chintagufa Health Centre, located in the Naxal-affected Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, has made history by receiving the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) Certificate from the Government of India.

Scoring an impressive 89.69%, this achievement highlights the center's exceptional commitment to healthcare excellence despite operating in one of the most challenging regions of the country.

Chintagufa, under the Konta development block, is a region synonymous with terror and adversity. Tadmetla village, infamous for the country's deadliest Naxal attack in which 76 soldiers were martyred, falls under its jurisdiction.

The area also witnessed key incidents like the kidnapping and subsequent release of the Sukma Collector and the martyrdoms at Burkapal.

Despite these adversities, the health centre has emerged as a beacon of hope and service.
