Around 500 people have been rescued in Senkara and Dabra in Gwalior district while two were rescued in Tikamgarh on Thursday. They were stranded after heavy rainfall and increase in water level in Sindh River tributary. While in Tikamgarh, people were stranded due to water level increase in Dhasan River.
In Chhatarpur district 160 people were rescued in last 24 hours. Pohar SDM Motilal Airwar said a husband and wife were swept away while crossing a culvert on a bike, and while the husband managed to escape, the wife died.
