The Andhra Pradesh Tourism development Corporation (APTDC) is looking to woo foreign tourists especially from Southeast Asian countries who are interested to visit Buddhist sites in India.

The state government is considering developing dedicated Buddhist circuits, connecting key Buddhist sites and offering a comprehensive experience for international travellers.

Buddhism, with its deeprooted history in India, has a significant following worldwide and Andhra Pradesh boasts several prominent Buddhist sites, including Amaravati, Kotturu, Guntupalli, Salihundam and many more. These locations are known for their vibrant Buddhist heritage of the region, with wellpreserved ancient ruins, stupas, and monasteries.
