The raids come in the wake of the Lokpal earlier this week asking the CBI to probe the allegations against Moitra from all aspects and submit a report within six months.
Moitra was disqualified and expelled from the Lok Sabha on 8 December 2023 following the recommendation of Lok Sabha Ethics Committee for sharing her login and password of NIC portal.
She was alleged to have taken bribes from businessman Darshan Hiranandani for asking questions against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The CBI sleuths carried out searches at Moitra's residence in Kolkata and her apartment in Krishnanagar in West Bengal's Nadia district, among other places, according to officials.
