The officials said that so far, more than Rs3,431 crore has been saved in 9.94 lakh cyber-crime complaints across the country.
The government and telecom service providers (TSPs) recently devised a system to identify and block international calls displaying Indian numbers that appear to be originating within India.
Such calls have been made by cyber-criminals in recent cases of fake digital arrests, courier scams, impersonation as government and police officials, etc.
