Both Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha are in a race of corruption and looting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday. He was addressing a rally in Chaibasa in favour of BJP candidate from Khunti and Union minister Arjun Munda and party candidate from Singbhum Geeta Koda.
Pointing out that ₹300 crore was recovered from the 'hideout' of a Congress MP in the state recently, the PM asked, "Whose money is this? It's the money of the poor, labourers, farmers, Dalits, and tribals of Jharkhand villages. Is this not a loot of your money?"
Striving to strike a chord with the people, the PM said BJP had a special bond with Jharkhand and contended it was only BJP understood the state and its people. Jharkhand was created when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the PM but Congress opposed it.
