Cabinet Proposals Multiply Ahead of Assembly Polls

In a fervent bid to secure a fresh mandate in the forthcoming state assembly elections, the Mahayuti Government, comprising three parties, convened a cabinet meeting on Monday that resulted in an unprecedented 24 decisions. The initial agenda, which began with a modest 10 items, expanded at the last minute to 24, leaving ministers astonished and somewhat overwhelmed.

These decisions, clearly aimed at attracting voters, include the establishment of two corporations: one to support the welfare of the Brahmin community and another for the Rajput community. Additionally, three communities have been included in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) list, a move likely to resonate with a significant electorate.
