MU warns colleges over admission document delays

University of Mumbai (MU) on Tuesday warned colleges and recognised educational institutions of cancelling affiliation for delay in submitting admission documents.

Several colleges, including those of Anjuman-I-Islam and KJ Somaiya, and also colleges like Rizvi and Thakur, will not be eligible to grant admissions in the 2025 cycle if they fail to submit admission documents of their students in a month's time.

In 2022-23 alone, as many as 47,610 admission documents have not been submitted by the defaulting institutes to MU. In 2019-20, the number of unsubmitted details were at 14,452, in 2020-21 it was 12,281, and in 2021-22 it was 22,900.
