No cracks, potholes on coastal road, says BMC

The BMC on Monday claimed that the Mumbai Coastal Road was completely safe with no cracks or potholes on its surface. The municipality was responding to online videos and photographs that sparked concerns over the quality of the road. The huge patches seen in the media were, in fact, a mastic coating applied as a preventive measure to protect the road from damage during the monsoon, it said.
