As a veterinarian, I have seen numerous new pet owners come through my doors, filled with excitement and love for their new furry friend. While pets bring immeasurable joy and happiness to our lives, they also come with their own set of challenges. As a professional, I'd like to share some of the biggest challenges new pet owners face and how they can overcome them.

Potty training: Potty training is often the first challenge that new pet owners face. It can be a frustrating experience, but it is important to be patient and consistent in your training approach. Reward-based training methods, such as treats and praise, can be very effective in encouraging good behaviour. It is also important to establish a consistent routine for feeding, playing and potty breaks to help your pet understand when it is time to go.
